The museum’s most current pressing need is for volunteer receptionists!
Data Entry Person and Scanner- Enters collections and photographic information into the museum’s PastPerfect collections software data base.
Collections Assistant- Assists in inventorying and cataloging artifacts. Prepares collection documents in hard copy and electronic format. Works withPastPerfect database. Some lifting may be required.
Education Docent- Conducts school tours for children grades K-5. Works with historic artifacts. Climbs stairs. (the Museum maintains a special relationship with the Assistance League® Eugene heritage program for elementary school programs)
Exhibits Assistant- Assists with exhibit preparation, construction of exhibit furniture. Moves, assembles, and disassembles museum exhibit cases. Lifting required. Uses power tools.
Exhibit Fabricator/Museum Handyman- Utilizes Museum workshop tools to maintain exhibits and construct exhibit furniture. Other projects as assigned.
Librarian/Archivist- Processes manuscript and library collections materials. Some lifting may be required; uses a stepladder. Utilizes PastPerfect database.
Museum Interns- Students from high school, community colleges and universities are encouraged to contact the museum and design a project(s) that fits both their needs and that of the Museum.

Oral Historian- Assists in preparing oral history program paperwork, conducting and transcribing interviews. Works with audio and video recorders, and transcription machines. Some travel may be required.
Receptionist/Store sales clerk- Greets museum visitors and answers general questions. Operates electronic cash register to receive admissions monies and sell museum store items. Some lifting required. Works with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Researcher- Searches photographic, manuscript, and print collections to satisfy research requests. May clip relevant newspaper articles for clippings file. Some lifting may be required; uses a stepladder.
